Wedding at the Los Angeles Temple: A Vibrant Celebration

I had the privilege of traveling to California (from Boise, Idaho) and photographing the wedding of my cousin Becca and her husband Shelton at the stunning Los Angeles Temple. It was an experience that truly encapsulated the excitement I have for photographing weddings!

Fun fact, Becca was one of the flower girls in MY wedding!

How they fell in love

Becca and Shelton met on their LDS missions. They connected at a mission reunion a few months after he got home. They dated for about 8 months and then he proposed! The proposal was in front of the arches on a day trip to Moab.

Vibrant palette of colors

Becca had chosen a palette of bright, bold hues for her bridesmaids’ dresses. The flowers, too, carried this theme of vibrancy and beauty. The rich shades of yellows, oranges, and pinks adorned the bouquets and floral arrangements. Adding a pop of color to the already picturesque surroundings.

Beautiful Los Angeles Temple

Sitting on 13 acres, the Los Angeles California Temple is the second largest temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It was dedicated in 1956. From meticulously manicured gardens to serene reflecting pools, every corner of the grounds seemed to offer a new opportunity for stunning photographs.

Perhaps the most beautiful aspect of all was the love that filled the air—the love between Becca and Shelto. And also the love shared between family and friends, who had gathered from near and far to witness and celebrate their marriage.

As I took photo after photo, I couldn’t help but feel grateful to be a part of such a joyous occasion.

Every element of this Los Angeles Temple wedding came together seamlessly. Becca and Shelton’s special day was filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. From the bright florals, colorful bridesmaids’ dresses, to the super-happy married couple, it was a vibrant celebration that embodied the beauty of a spring wedding.
