Some weddings are filled with special touches that make them truly unforgettable, and Erika and Cole’s White Barn wedding was one of them! From Erika’s stunning floral sleeve wedding dress to the disc golf-themed favors and a unique birthday cake instead of a traditional wedding cake, every detail of their day was a perfect reflection of their personalities.

A Breathtaking Fall White Barn Wedding
Nestled in the beauty of early fall, White Barn provided the perfect backdrop for Erika and Cole’s big day. The beautiful temperatures, green trees, and rustic elegance of the venue created a warm and inviting atmosphere. The couple exchanged vows beneath a beautifully decorated arch, surrounded by their closest family and friends.
Love Story and Proposal
Erika wrote “we met at a local bar called the Buffalo Club. Cole and I are both avid dancers. I saw Cole standing on the edge of the dance floor and got up the courage to start talking with him. After a bit I asked him to dance. We danced several times that night. I asked for his contact information before leaving and we went on our first official date a few days later. Dancing is still a very special part of our relationship.
Cole asked for my mom’s blessing 6 months before he actually proposed. He then proceeded to pretend propose for those 6 months (kneeling down in public to tie his shoe…that short of thing). One weekend he asked if i wanted to go up to Bogus Basin with my sister and brother in law to hang out for the day and maybe take some pictures. I was suspicious but he had pretend proposed so many times by this point I couldn’t tell if this was the real deal. We all rode the chair lift to a beautiful spot but I wanted to wander around and find more things to look at. Eventually Cole got me to hold still long enough to propose!”

Erika’s Unique Floral Sleeve Wedding Dress
One of the standout details of this White Barn wedding was Erika’s breathtaking wedding dress. She opted for a gown featuring delicate floral sleeves, adding a whimsical and romantic touch. The intricate floral appliqués made her dress feel ethereal and perfectly complemented the natural beauty of the venue. During the reception she changed into another, shorter dress- perfect for dancing!
Disc Golf-Themed Wedding Favors & Personal Touches
Erika and Cole found creative ways to incorporate their favorite hobbies into their White Barn wedding. As avid disc golf players, they surprised their guests with disc golf-themed wedding favors, a fun and unique detail that made their wedding extra special.
A Birthday Cake Instead of a Wedding Cake? Yes, Please!
Breaking tradition, Erika and Cole opted for a birthday cake instead of a wedding cake—a sweet nod to the fact that they share birthdays around their wedding date. Guests sang the happy birthday song as they blew out the candles. The cake was a delightful surprise for their guests and a perfect way to celebrate their love in a way that felt authentic to them.
Capturing the Magic of This White Barn Wedding
Photographing Erika and Cole’s White Barn wedding was a dream. The rustic charm of the venue, the personal and heartfelt details, and the genuine love between these two made for a day filled with beautiful moments. From amazing dancing routines to romantic golden-hour portraits, every photo tells the story of their unforgettable celebration. One of my favorite parts was at the end of the night we snuck off from the reception and took some romantic pictures at sunset and in the groom quarters.
Final Thoughts
Erika and Cole’s White Barn wedding was the perfect blend of romance, creativity, and personal touches. It was an honor to capture such a meaningful day for them, and I know their love story will continue to be just as beautiful as their wedding day.
